Original Facility Expansion Facility Rutledge Tower

In planning since 1996, Hollings Cancer Center's $40M Expansion Facility and renovation project broke ground in 2001. Construction on this seven-story facility, situated on the corner of Jonathan Lucas Street and Sabin Street adjacent to the original HCC facility (map), is expected to be completed in 2005, though portions of the new building will be occupied starting in 2004. The Expansion Facility replaces Sections C and D of the old Quadrangle Building. As part of the Expansion project, the first two floors of the original HCC facility will be completely remodeled. The total square footage will increase to a total of 202,000 square feet.
